In A Typhoon Day, a young child navigates the anticipation and reality of the annual typhoon. As the storm approaches, the child’s father works hard to secure the house, while the child and Grandma help prepare. When the typhoon finally hits, the family listens to the howling winds and crashes outside, sharing a quiet
moment of togetherness. A drenched white bird, seeking shelter, arrives at theirdoor, adding to the atmosphere of the storm.
Through vivid illustrations and a gentle narrative, this story explores the feelings of curiosity, uncertainty, and safety that come with a typhoon. It’s a heartwarming tale of family, resilience, and the bond between humans and nature.
