About the author/illustrator

Yang Shuanglu (Leah Yang) is an illustrator and storyteller from Shenzhen, China, currently based in Cambridge. In 2019, she completed her Bachelor’s degree at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and has extensive experience teaching children of all ages how to draw. She enjoys expressing delicate emotions and fluid atmospheres through relaxed and sometimes clumsy pencil lines. Additionally, humor is a characteristic feature of her works. Most of her inspiration comes from the world she sees and experiences, where emotions are transformed into pencil lines that interweave on paper.
